Ameriana's Green Efforts
Ameriana's Green Team, a group of representatives from each office and area of the bank, was formed in 2007 to generate and implement ideas to make the bank more environmentally friendly. Here's just a small sample of the things we do today:
- Instead of employees driving to meetings, we encourage conference calls.
- Replace all disposable kitchen supplies with reusable supplies.
- Promote Online Statements to our customers versus paper statements.
- Donate furniture and electronics to schools and non-profits.
- Recycle paper, magazines, newspapers, plastic bottles, ink/toner cartridges and aluminum cans.
- Reuse cardboard boxes for shipping.
