FISHERS, Ind. (Nov. 25, 2008) - The Julian Center received a $500 donation from Ameriana Bank on behalf of Connie Newton of Carmel, the winner of the Ameriana Charity Drawing. Newton's name was drawn in connection with the grand opening of Ameriana's new Fishers banking center located at 11521 Olio Road at 116th Street. Robert Holland, Fishers banking center manager, and Newton presented the check to Pam Testa, a representative of the Julian Center on November 21.
"I had received a letter from the Julian Center requesting a donation and also noticed an ad in the paper from Kroger stating that they would match any donation that was made to the Julian Center," said Newton. "When I received the call from Ameriana with the good news that my name had been drawn to donate $500 to the charity of my choice, I knew it was just meant to be. I wanted my donation to help as many people as possible."
