Ameriana hires Cathy Adams in Commercial Lending

AVON, Ind. (June 19, 2009) - James Freeman, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Lending Officer of Ameriana Bank, today announced that Cathy Adams has been named Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending.

In this position, Adams will assist existing customers and be responsible for growing commercial relationships in the Avon market, remaining actively involved in community organizations and working with business and civic leaders in the area.

"I am very pleased Cathy agreed to join Ameriana," said Freeman. "She has been involved in commercial lending and the Avon community for many years, and she brings a great deal of expertise to Ameriana."

Adams joins Ameriana from Irwin Union Bank in Avon, where she provided lending services to clients. Adams participates in the Avon Chamber of Commerce and is also involved in Avon Junior Athletic Association as a cheer coach and volunteers in the Avon Community School Corporation.
