NEW CASTLE, Ind. (June 19, 2009) - Deborah Robinson, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking and Chief Marketing Officer of Ameriana Bank, today announced that Rob Garrett has been named Assistant Vice President and Westfield Banking Center Manager.
In this position, Garrett will lead the banking center's retail growth initiatives in Westfield, manage daily operations, as well as implement sales and service strategies to grow customer relationships.
In addition, he will be responsible for getting the staff of the Westfield Banking Center actively involved in community organizations as well as working with business and civic leaders in the area.
"When I interviewed Rob, I knew immediately he was a perfect fit for Ameriana," said Robinson. "As an already active member of the Westfield community, I am confident he will establish Ameriana as a true community bank in the area."
Garrett joins Ameriana from Regions Bank in Westfield, where he was most recently the Assistant Vice President and Branch Sales Manager. There he was responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships. Garrett is also a member of the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and the Westfield Chamber of Commerce, and he volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the Indiana Women in Need (I.W.I.N.) Foundation.
In September 2008 President and Chief Executive Officer Jerome J. Gassen announced plans to open the Westfield banking center, Ameriana's seventh location in the greater
Indianapolis area and its fourteenth across central Indiana. The Westfield banking center, located on State Road 32 and Carey Road, is scheduled to open in late May 2009.
