Ameriana Names Janelle Gamble VP of Compliance, Community Reinvestment Act Officer
NEW CASTLE, Ind. (March 4, 2013) - Jerome J. Gassen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ameriana Bancorp (NASDAQ: ASBI), the holding company for Ameriana Bank, today announced that Janelle C. Gamble has been named the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer. She assumes this role in addition to her responsibility as Vice President of Compliance.
In her expanded role as CRA Officer, Gamble will now be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Bank's CRA Program. As VP of Compliance, she remains responsible for guidance and support to the business lines in developing, implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs. Gamble continues to formulate compliance examination plans and schedules for respective departments and banking centers, based on internal reviews and external examination by regulatory bodies and external public auditors.
Gamble joined Ameriana in July 2012 from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Indianapolis, where she was a Compliance Bank Examiner. Prior to her tenure with the FDIC, Gamble was AVP, Compliance and CRA Officer for State Bank of Lizton in Brownsburg, Ind. She was named a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) by the Institute of Certified Bankers in 2011.
